Yes you should. Consider this... the average person who only sleeps 6 hours a night will get 2,190 hours of sleep a year. That's a lot of sleep and when you think of the cumulative affect laying on a bad mattress has on your body... it makes even more sense to be sure your mattress is top grade.
If you've read any of the other posts on my blog, I hope you've realized that the quality of sleep really makes a difference in how successful you are in life.
Memory foam has the ability to make your "not-so-great" mattress and give it an upgrade to some more luxury. It was developed originally for NASA to help astronauts disperse pressure from the forces involved in launch and landing a spacecraft.
When you lay on this type of foam, it gives way and molds itself to your unique curves. It literally hugs your body and helps to keep the pressure that is associated with laying down to be uniformly distributed throughout your body.
When you lay on a typical mattress with springs, those springs push your body back... it's physics. And this pressure cannot get evenly dispersed because it's completely localized in places like your hips and shoulders. This causes your body to hurt and even come our of proper alignment.
But if you can get some memory foam to use on your typical mattress, then you will solve many of these problems... that is until you can upgrade your entire mattress.
Don't underestimate how important what you sleep on and in, is to your health and productivity. When you start to get good sleep, your energy, mood, and health will drastically rise and make you more productive in your entire life.
Memory foam actually comes in many different forms these days. You can get a bed topper, which was talked about a lot during this article. However there are mattress manufacturers that make mattresses build around memory foam.
These can be pretty expensive, but the long term benefits of having memory foam will safe you money by avoiding doctors, chiropractors, and other contraptions. If you are serious about getting a good nights sleep and making that investment in yourself then you have to look at memory foam.
